The Spirit of Cobra
Spirit of Cobra highlighted the unique meeting of the radical young artists who came together in the aftermath of World War II to create a living art based on spontaneity, experimentation, socialist politics and exuberant optimism. The exhibition featured paintings, drawings, watercolors, sculpture and mixed media works drawn from permanent collections of the two museums along with leading public and private collections.
Organized by Cobra Museum (Amstelveen, Netherlands) and NSU Art Museum, with guest curators Brenda Zwart and Katja Weitering.
