NSU ART MUSEUM FORT LAUDERDALE LAUNCHES ONE EAST SOCIETY
NEW MEMBERSHIP GROUP CONNECTING YOUNG PROFESSIONALS AND CREATIVES IN SOUTH FLORIDA

On Thursday, April 11, NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale kicked off its newest membership group, One East Society, with a launch party at The Dalmar.

One East Society offers members an ongoing schedule of cultural, social and networking events that provide unique access into South Florida’s art scene.

Members enjoy events at galleries, clubs and other destinations, invitations to gallery and studio tours, exhibition openings and art fairs and unlimited access to NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale.

Upcoming One East Society programs include “Creative Class,” a series of art mixers with inspiring young artists and creatives from the worlds of art, fashion and design, and “Work Creatively,” featuring encounters with visionaries who are creatively transforming their industries and South Florida. One East Society members will meet such innovators such as Doug McGraw, the founder of Fort Lauderdale’s burgeoning FAT Village Arts District, and Kathryn Mikesell, co-founder and director of The Fountainhead, Miami and Fountainhead artists-in-residence, who are bringing to the region artistic inspiration from around the world.

“Fort Lauderdale is a great place to live and work and the boom in new development has introduced new creative energy to the city,” said NSU Art Museum Director and Chief Curator Bonnie Clearwater. “The One East Society enables young creatives and professionals to be part of the excitement throughout South Florida and prepares them to become arts patrons of the future.”

The group’s next Members Only event on May 2 at Rooftop @ 1WLO will feature performance artist, Rosemarie Romero and her Porn Nail$ mobile salon.
