NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale offers a sensory-friendly program FREE for children on the Autism Spectrum ages 6-17 and their families.
Experience NSU Art Museum on January 10th, 2026, from 9:30-10:30 am, before regular museum hours, for a sensory-friendly environment and exclusive museum access. Join us as we make art and wander through the museum with low lighting, reduced noise, and plenty of hands-on art items. Sensory-friendly materials will be available for all visiting children on the spectrum, including: noise-cancelling headphones, weighted lap pads, soft seating, sensory-friendly art materials, and a special gift for each child.
Registration opens one month prior to each date.
Admission to Sensory Saturday is FREE with a required RSVP. Space is limited.
Registration will be closed on the Friday before each event at 5 pm. If you register but cannot attend, please let us know so we can open your space for another family. Please do not register any other family but your own. If you or someone you know needs help registering, please call 954-262-0204 or email [email protected]
