Free First Thursday with Special Screening of Islands

November 6 at 11:00 am - 7:00 pm

Sunny Days Starry Nights Logo
November’s Free First Thursday at NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale will be special!

In addition to complimentary access to the Museum, November’s monthly event will feature a screening of the documentary, Islands.  The film tells the story of Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s world-famous arts initiative to surround the islands of Biscayne Bay in pink fabric.

5:30 – 6:30 pm

Before the screening, those viewing the Museum’s Surrounded Islands exhibition will be able to record their memories and personal reflections of the Surrounded Islands installation.

We extend a special invitation to all Nova Southeastern University Alumni to attend Free First Thursday, view Islands, and take a group picture in the Surrounded Islands exhibition.  Alumni can enjoy 2-for-1 All Day Happy Hour, bring their family for Mini Muse, learn about Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s incredible undertaking, and share their Surrounded Islands story.  Experience a master class in getting a yes, just like the two giants of the public art scene.

Enjoy FREE Museum admission and 2-for-1 All Day Happy Hour on the first Thursday of every month from 11 am to 7 pm during Free First Thursday Sunny Days/Starry Nights.

NEW! Free public tours at Noon during Free First Thursdays.

Groups of 10 or more are not guaranteed free admission on Free First Thursday. Please contact the group sales  at 954-262-0204 or [email protected]
