SUMMARY:Creativity Exploration: Sculptural Selves
DESCRIPTION:Explore transformation\, identity\, and the many possibilities of becoming through sculpture. Inspired by the vibrant\, biomorphic forms and shape-shifting sculptures of artist Bianca Beck\, create your own fantastical figure using form\, color\, and gesture to explore how we change\, grow\, connect\, and hold multiple possibilities within ourselves. \nCreativity Exploration adult workshops promote the benefits of material exploration and the mind-to-body experience. “Research suggests that experiencing art and creativity\, even for a few minutes a day\, has tangible effects on our mental and physical health” (New York Times). In addition to producing a sense of well-being\, sessions expand participants’ perceptions of forms\, while increasing brain connectivity through visual and cognitive stimulation. The workshop is led by educator Lark Keeler\, a specialist in mindfulness education. \nExtend your sense of well-being after the class by visiting our galleries and the newly redesigned Huizenga Park\, located directly across Las Olas Blvd. \nPreregistration Required. Space is Limited. \n  \n\n \nDate of event: 11/14/2026\nTime: Noon – 1:30 pm\nPricing: $15 for members and veterans; $25 for non-members\nLocation: NSU Art Museum\nAges: 18+ \n  \nImage: Bianca Beck\, Stardust we breathe / Skin we shed\, 2026.
