Tamar Ariel, grew up in a religious home in a moshav in Israel, and following two years of voluntary National Service she joined the IDF Air Force, where she served as the first-ever Jewish Orthodox combat navigator. After her military service, she traveled to Nepal in 2014, where she reached the peak of the Annapurna mountain range with a group of other hikers, who, after an unexpected snow storm, found themselves in a life and death struggle against the elements. A discussion with Gila and Dani Tuchman, Tamar Ariel’s aunt and uncle, follows the screening.
